Overview
SafeMINDed® Mental Health Accreditation is a unique, evidence-based framework specific to mental health and wellbeing, that accredits your workplace in being an environment that promotes good mental health and ensures a mental health aware workforce. Embedding effective mental health support within your organisation using the SafeMINDed® framework contributes to staff retention and success, decreased sick leave, increased staff capacity, capability and productivity. SafeMINDed®demonstrates your commitment to prioritising mental health and ensures visibility within policy, practice and lived values. The accreditation process is undertaken, monitored, and supported by experienced mental health professionals.
Development
Through personal experiences as an educator in the tertiary sector, and given the global prevalence of rising poor mental health among both students and the wider workforce, Dr Suzie Bartlett identified the critical need for the development of a specialised mental health accreditation framework. SafeMINDed® is an evidence-based framework that has been developed by Suzie through a large national research study. The study was focused on investigating the mental health and wellbeing of tertiary learners. SafeMINDed®was developed in education but has wider application to any business/organisation from small to large scale nationally.
